Biennale des Ecoles d’Art en Mediterranee _NOV 2024

Romy Lee, Jiyoung Jeon, Malte Bartsch, Janosch Müller teilnehmen an der diesjährigen Biennale der Kunsthochschulen am Institut National des Beaux-Arts in Tetouan und werden eine Woche lang mit Studierenden aus europäischen, afrikanischen und arabischen Kunsthochschulen zusammen arbeiten.
Mit dabei sind Künstler*innen und Studierende aus Abidjan (INSAAC Institut National Supérieur des Arts et de l’Action Culturelle), Aix-en Provence (Ecole Supérieure d’Art Félix Ciccolini), Almeria (Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño Carlos Pérez Siquier), Arles (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photo), Dakar (L’Institut Supérieur des Arts et des Cultures de l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop), Marseille (INSEAMM) Paris (Université Paris 8 und CY-Cergy) Porto (Escola Superior Artistica do Porto), Sevilla (Facultad de Bellas Artes, Universidad de Sevilla), Sousse (Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Sousse, Tétouan (Institut National des Beaux-Arts de Tétouan) und Toulon (ESAD).









Drawing as a social gesture _DEC 2024


Gathering international artists, curators and art historians, the colloquium will provide an intersectional approach to knowledges to address the growing interest in the visualization of class, ethnicity, and gender in contemporary drawing. The colloquium is organized by Katrin Ströbel (abk Stuttgart) and Marine Schütz (Université de Picardie Jules Verne, Amiens) and takes place as part of the interdisciplinary week at the abk Stuttgart. The colloquium is free, open to the public and is aimed at students of all degree programs, artists, teachers and all interested cultural workers.









Papier ist (un)geduldig _FEB 2025


The workshop on paper and its properties provided a solid insight into the diverse possibilities of this material. It showcased both practical experiences and objective perspectives that highlight the creative use of paper in contemporary art. London-based Portuguese artist Diogo Pimentão and London-based curator Joana P. R. Neves contributed valuable expertise and insights, significantly enriching the workshop.
